The horses are turned out daily for about 10 hours by the boarding stable owners or experienced staff. In bad
weather, the horses are turned out in the round pen or the 150’ X 65” indoor arena with sand footing (if not being
used). There are also several all weather pens for turnout if the normal turnout areas are too muddy, but the
weather is decent. Horses with hind shoes are required to have private turnout. During the summer months, there
is evening turnout, and sometimes early morning turnout depending on weather and insect conditions. The horses can
spend the daytime hours under their fans, free from heat and flies. Lunging your horse is also provided as an
option. Application of fly spray before turnout is also an option.
