Walker Training Stables is owned and managed by Herb and Sherri Walker. The Walker's are dedicated to the welfare of your horses and to the maximizing of your enjoyment of your horses. They have over 100 combined years of experience with horses. Herb is an American Paint Horse Association approved judge and has trained several APHA Champions. Sherri has a master’s degree in Animal Nutrition from the University of Missouri and is proud of the peak condition of the horses at Walker Training Stables. Sherri was the 1999 All Around Ohio Paint Horse Club High Point Amateur and her gelding Scoobedobedo ("Scooby") was the 2000 High Point OPHC All Around Gelding. “Scooby” was 3rd in the nation on the APHA Honor Roll in 1999 in Barrel Racing. Sherri enjoys qualifying for the National Barrel Horse Association World Show every year, most recently on her buckskin mare, Spirit. Sherri has completed Clinton Anderson's two week colt starting clinic, Lynn Palm's Level 2 and 3 Versatility Course, Martha Josey's Barrel Racing Clinic, Talmadge Green's Barrel Racing Clinic, and Richard Shrake's Showmanship Clinics. Sherri and Herb do their best to stay current with the latest innovations in the training and care of horses. Herb and Sherri’s breeding program is built around reproducing the bloodlines of Scoobedoobedo by crossing their Dirty Sonny stallion, Ima Dirty Teddy, on Lil’ Abner bred mares.
